The strategic research plan

International reputation acknowledged for expertise useful to the territory

The Métis Laboratory entertains the ambition to be even more recognised internationally in fields of expertise useful to its territory, in order to contribute to its development, attractiveness and internationalisation. The School has thus identified four topics:

  • Shipping and Port Logistics
  • Digital Transition
  • Agricultural Entrepreneurship
  • Horse Breeding Industry Management

Objectives

The objectives of the strategic plan cover academic research, partnership research, internationalisation and training by research. To achieve them, the laboratory has defined several axes for improvement:

  • To continue fostering internationalisation dynamics in research: publications in international journals, Métis researchers attending international colloquia, etc
  • To disseminate research results even further by opening new endowed chairs, taking part in new research contracts, multiplying the number of articles published in specialised press, etc
  • To recruit new lecturers/researchers to enhance the Métis international profile and strengthen its areas of expertise in Shipping and Port Logistics, Digital Transition, Entrepreneurship and SME Management, etc
  • To sign new cooperation agreements with foreign research laboratories in the Métis areas of expertise
  • To strengthen the doctoral training activity in partnership with local and international institutions
