EM Normandie Business School helps to boost links between Normandy and Ireland by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Technological University (TU) Dublin

School's life

On 22 February 2023, the Normandy Region signed a statement of intent with Ireland to strengthen cooperation between Normandy-based and Irish higher education institutions. Hervé Morin, President of the Normandy Region, travelled to Dublin with a higher education and research delegation to cement this partnership ambition with Niall Collins, Irish Minister of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. The main purpose of this agreement is to promote cooperation on certain programmes of action, including mobility for PhD students, setting up jointly supervised theses, and mobility of students and staff between France and Ireland. In partnership with the same institutions that signed the statement of intent, EM Normandie also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Technological University (TU) Dublin.

TU Dublin, established in 2019, is Ireland's first technological university. As well as being a STEM leader (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), it also offers its students training in trade, media, culinary arts, creative and performing arts. The university combines academic excellence with research activities focused on scientific and technological discovery, and a learning philosophy focused on industry, sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation.

EM Normandie has had a campus in Dublin since 2017, hosting students on its Bachelor International Management and the Master in Management (Programme Grande Ecole) courses on six-month or one-year placements. It also offers an M2/MSc in Digital Marketing & Sales. Its management teams and teacher-researchers work closely with Dublin’s dynamic tech ecosystem.

TU Dublin and EM Normandie are combining their academic expertise by signing a Memorandum of Understanding, to address new global societal and digital challenges. The partnership between the Business School and the Technological University will mainly be based on links between teacher-researchers, the pooling of teaching innovation and digital know-how, working on collaborative research projects and organising conferences and symposiums. It will allow both parties to build a strong relationship based on the principle of equality and mutual benefit.
