This is the number of candles on the birthday cake of the Advanced Training Programme in Port Operation & Management, a flagship seminar for EM Normandie's Institut Portuaire d'Enseignement et de Recherche (IPER). Organised from 17 May to 17 June 2016 jointly with the Grand Port Maritime du Havre – a partner of the Rouen and Paris ports within HAROPA ,– under the aegis of the International Maritime Organization, the seminar hosted 18 Port Executives, both French speaking and English-speaking, from 17 different nationalities. Coming from all walks of port management, HR Manager, Department Head, Financial Executive, VP of a Port Authority, etc., their purpose was to acquire new competencies in order to valorise them within their ports, of for some, to move on internally..
To celebrate this 30th Anniversary officially, a conference will be facilitated by Pamela Tansey, the deputy Director of the Technical Cooperation Department at IMO, on the following theme: ‘What prospects for IMO in the future?' An official cocktail will be served at the end of the day with many of IPER's institutional and private partners attending.
