IPER: Institute for teaching and port research

IPER is a professional training institute that is unique in the French-speaking world. Since its foundation in 1977 by the Le Havre Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Le Havre's port, it has become the leading specialist in continuing executive education for the shipping, ports and logistics sectors.
Its portfolio of training programmes are given either in French or in English, in Le Havre or outside France. The courses address three main topics: Port Construction Works, Management and Operations.
The Institute also develops customised training and seminars for the international ports community.
Its activities also encompass applied research on behalf of companies, local government, and professional bodies, with 9,000 people from 150 countries having already benefitted from IPER’s expertise.
Finally, IPER relies on a team of lecturers and researchers from EM Normandie to produce applied research and bespoke studies.
