Getting your suitcase ready before travelling becomes a nightmare at times. To help travellers not to forget anything whatever their destinations are, Benoît Guillouf, Analyst & Developer Project Manager had the idea to invent the 2.0 Checklist.
"The objective is to help travellers to generate by a few clicks, over the internet or on their smartphones, a personalised listing of items they shouldn't forget depending on the location, dates, local weather or those activities scheduled during their trips. The community dimension is also significant: it won't be long before the initial lists are enriched by the users" own inventories through a monitoring of the most trend-setting users.
To test his idea and give life to his project, he attended the Start-up Week-End event last October in Caen. This was a real springboard for his venture as an entrepreneur: supported by Paul Lefèvre, an EM Normandie Grande Ecole Programme student, and two other students in Graphic Design and Web Development, he won the prize and has since successfully gone through the stages of starting his business. The latest development was the launching of a crowdfunding campaign on KissKissBankBank. In a matter of 5 days only, the project fulfilled its contribution objectives, the critical step before the official launch of Globelister !
The Globelister team is hosted by the EM Normandie School Incubator, where it benefits from personalised support given by the Institut de l'Innovation et du Développement de l'Entrepreneuriat (InsIDE). Through InsIDE's partnerships with the Normandy ecosystem, the team receives advice from FIDAL, a firm of lawyers, on the definition of their legal status, and from experienced business start-up entrepreneurs on some marketing aspects.
