To make up for the shortage and to help protect caregivers, EM Normandie has decided to distribute the 5,700 FFP2 masks it has had since the influenza A H1N1 epidemic.
Masks dispatched in hospitals, EHPAD and clinics in the Normandy region
A total of 4,800 masks were donated to the Préfecture du Calvados, the MEDEF Calvados and the MEDEF Seine Estuaire. These were dispatched between the Hôpital Privé de l'Estuaire in Le Havre, the Polyclinique du Parc and the CHU in Caen, as well as to EHPADs and private clinics in the Normandy region.
Relatives and friends of employees are also protected
900 masks were also distributed to employees of EM Normandie who have relatives working in the medical field: town doctors and emergency doctors, nurses, care assistants, dentists, pharmacists, etc.
Solidarity and the preservation of ties within the community: a key issue for EM Normandie
In this same spirit of solidarity, EM Normandie and its student associations are deploying actions to contribute to the well-being of all during periods of containment: providing advice on how to live well while under containment on the school's social networks, online sports training with the Sports Office, a special containment edition in the Arts Office newspaper with ideas for virtual cultural visits and e-books, etc.
Another noteworthy addition is the launch of the citizen website www.commentaider.fr by a collective of meme creators (humorous images available en masse on the Internet) followed by several hundred thousand people on social networks. This site, which is associated with Aymeric Declercq, a 2019 graduate of the Master in Management Programme, founder of Eleos, which specialises in ethical advertising, is a platform that lists all the associations active during the period of containment to enable French people to make themselves useful over the next few weeks, by giving their free time, money or sharing their skills to improve the daily lives of the most disadvantaged.
