Watch out for a greetings card, dedicated website, social media quiz and limited-edition goodies to kick off our 150th anniversary celebrations with a bang. Our communications will pay tribute to the School’s founder, Jules Siegfried, and to all the women and men who helped it to grow. The Business School is planning multiple events and activities throughout the year, celebrating its ability to re-mould itself to meet the needs and expectations of successive generations of students and companies. It will also honour its many advances and successes, through which it has become a symbol of courage, innovation and excellence.
“Over the past 150 years, EM Normandie has gone from strength to strength thanks to its committed and visionary women and men, its active and supportive community of students and alumni, and its growing number of loyal institutional and private partners. This anniversary is an opportunity to pay tribute to them and to thank them for the journey we have undertaken together. ʺA forward-looking approach based on a long-standing traditionʺ sums up the philosophy of our School and also sets the tone for our future in which innovative and digital technologies will play a leading role” explains Elian Pilvin, Dean of EM Normandie.
A dedicated anniversary website
EM Normandie is launching a dedicated website, which retraces its history through the eyes of its founder, Jules Siegfried. The website brings the history to life. Besides the inevitable timeline, (re)discover the School in feature articles which chronicle the main milestones, and provide everything from small details to little-known facts. For example, did you know that EM Normandie’s precursor, the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce du Havre, opened its doors to women in 1920? Three women were enrolled, but didn’t show up! Mixed classes began properly the following year.
We will release new articles throughout the year based on our best archive picks and memories from students, graduates, employees and partners. The site will be dynamic, community-focused and authentic with a few surprises, just like the Business School!
Social media quiz
Our social media feeds will also be bursting with EM Normandie’s 150th anniversary news. Instagram and LinkedIn will feature one question a month as part of our special anniversary quiz, and we’ll encourage our whole community to engage with the School by releasing the answers on the website. Discover the hidden secrets behind our campuses, international links, training and graduates.
A capsule collection of goodies
True to its attention to detail, the School has created a limited-edition range of goodies including polo shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts and bags. The range features an image of the School’s founder, and of course the magic number 150! These collector's editions can be purchased from the 150 years website.
