A Training Programme designed for Crédit Agricole Normandie Seine.

Learning Objectives

  • Meeting a pressing demand from business organisations for means of raising and recognising competency levels  
  • Opening up Grandes Ecoles to the working world by welcoming wage earners with 2-year diplomas or even secondary education exit diplomas, with professional experience, to offer them an opportunity to validate and consolidate experiential learning  
  • Encouraging Grandes Ecoles to engage more markedly in the experiential professional experience validation process in order to allow, whenever possible, wage earners to acquire through continuing education (combination of Badge modules) titles or degrees the Grandes Ecoles award through other routes. 
  • Creating a new privileged route for cooperative education, distance learning and shared training-investment

This BADGE Programme was designed as a close collaboration between Crédit Agricole Normandie Seine and EM Normandie. The pedagogical track is divided in 4 stages, first a ‘Tool Box’ followed by 3 main stages that follow the thread provided by the thesis. Each stage comprises several modules with specific objectives. 

1st Stage: The Tool Box  

The aim is to provide the basics required for taking up a new position: knowledge of yourself and other people, people or project management basics.  

2nd Stage: Studying the environment 

As we are in a changing world, it is critical for us to master rules and constraints, and their consequences on our clients. In this specific context, this meant understanding how Credit Agricole is organised at the level of its national and strategic financial dimensions, and how the latter impact Caisse Normandie Seine.

3rd Stage: Operational Management of an Activity and Risks 

A focus on the position of team manager and project management: Marketing and sales Management rules, Scoreboards, but also regulations and security: 10 days of practical training on regulation compliance and risks after a 3-day theoretical training programme. 

4the Stage: Personal development and Team or Project 

Studying the human dimension: mastering assertiveness, rime and priority management, good writing and speaking skill rules, coaching manager techniques, mapping responsibilities, or leadership diagnosis 
Main underlying theme:  the capability to cooperate in order to reach shared objectives 

The Thesis

Supervised individually by EM Normandie faculty, this thesis focuses on a concrete issue suggested by the candidate or the Caisse (and validated by their Executive Committee) which is to be reviewed in perspective in order to recommend practical solutions. The contents of the thesis are to be closely relevant to the training programme inputs, which explains why it is drafted throughout the study path.

  • 25% : Continuous Assessment 
  • 25% : Work Placement Report and Oral Defence  « Permanent Controlling & Risks » 
  • 25% : Written Thesis
  • 25% : Thesis Defence

A jury comprising both École de Management de Normandie Faculty and Crédit Agricole Executives will validate the award of the B.A.D.G.E to each participant.

Application Process

  • A first selection was made internally by Crédit Agricole. This stage was achieved through applications validated by the candidates’ managers. The Executive Committee then approved the final cohort list for the year. 
  • Interview with a joint committee acting as an Admissions Jury, validated by an EM Normandie representative and Crédit Agricole executives. 

Admission Requirements

  • Holders of a 2-year diploma minimum as Level 3 Title, and with a 3-year professional experience minimum relevant to the application or holders of a baccalauréat  (secondary education exit degree) and with a 5-year relevant professional experience minimum. 
  • Being Crédit Agricole team members identified as potential future managers or expert executive who will thus be able to acquire those competencies required for their professional progress, or Credit Agricole managers and executives who will thus be able to extend and update their management competencies.  

The selection process for CRCA Normandie Seine managers focuses on the following aspects:  

  • Proven efficiency in the present occupation 
  • Engagement in the training path to acquire the knowledge required in order to take up future responsibilities 
  • Determination to be mobile and to go where the organisation’s needs are 
  • Corporate spirit
  • Management and project management capabilities
